Dear Young
The YIH Youth Department is pleased to introduce our 2009-2010 session. It is my pleasure to serve as Programming Director for the YIH Youth Department. In addition, we welcome Michelle Goldstein and Yochai Cohen, who will serve as our Shabbat Morning Group Directors. Michelle Goldstein will supervise the pre-school age children, which encompasses the toddlers, nursery and pre-k groups. Yochai Cohen will supervise the elementary school age children.
We are in the process of planning an exciting year for the YIH Youth, with a variety of activities and outings; each of which will provide our children with new and exciting opportunities as members of the Youth Department. We hope that all who participate will have a great time, while developing a sense of pride as Jewish children and as proud members of the YIH community.
Our Shabbat programs are tailored to individual group needs. Enclosed is a detailed overview of the youth groups. In order to participate in Shabbat Morning Groups and Youth Activities, it is required that all families register their children with the Youth Department. The registration is $75 per child. There is a maximum of $150 dollars per family for families with more than 2 children. The registration provides your child(ren) with Shabbat programs and discounted rates on all Young Israel of Hewlett Youth Activities. The registration is an annual fee, which requires renewal every September. Enclosed please find a registration form. The Young Israel of Hewlett office must receive all registration forms no later than September 30, 2009. We are looking forward to a wonderful year. Your cooperation and participation are appreciated and necessary to ensure the success of the programs.
